Join us to discuss The Library Book by Susan Orlean in the Margaret Knoll Gardner Lecture Room.

A 1986 fire at the Los Angeles Public Library destroyed 400,000 books and damaged 700,000 more. More than 30 years later, the mystery remains. Did someone set the fire? Orlean also explores the crucial role libraries play, the evolution of libraries, and the daily life of library staff.
