Join us to discuss Circe by Madeline Miller in the Margaret Knoll Gardner Lecture Room.
Born to Helios, god of the sun, Circe is a strange child. Turning to the world of mortals for companionship, she discovers her gift for witchcraft, and is banished by Zeus to a deserted island. There, she hones her craft, encounters mythical figures, including Odysseus, and ultimately must decide if she belongs to the gods, or the mortals she has come to love.
