Join us to discuss In the Midst of Winter by Isabel Allende in the Margaret Knoll Gardner Lecture Room.
During a Brooklyn snowstorm, Richard Bowmaster, a lonely professor in his sixties, hits the car of Evelyn Ortega, a young undocumented immigrant from Guatemala. When Evelyn later comes to his house seeking help, the professor turns to his tenant, Lucia Maraz, a fellow academic from Chile, for her advice. As their three lives intertwine, each discovers important truths about themselves, and Richard and Evelyn find love.
