The private-funding thermometer rose by $3,140 in August, bringing the total for the year to $90,192, or 58.5 percent of the goal.
Donations, including those in the donation box, made up nearly half of the total, with contributions to the annual fund adding another $300.
Sales in the Friends’ Book Nook added nearly $600, with ‘library services’ revenue of another $600 for printing/copying, lost/damaged books, and room rentals rounding out the rest.
With four months to go, the gap stands at $63,988. Check back next month for September results.
