The private-funding thermometer rose by $21,814 in April, bringing the four-month total to $43,757, or 28.4 percent of the goal. Note that this total reflects an adjustment of ($86) in March results.
General gifts (including the donation box) totaled $20,418, with $11,550 in matching funds through the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley plus a large private donation making up the bulk. Donations to the library’s annual fund and general fundraising added another $225 to the total.
Sales in the Friends’ Book Nook added more than $700 in April, and cash receipts of nearly $460 for lost/damaged books, printing/copying, and room rentals, rounded out the rest.
