Join us in person at the library (in the Margaret Knoll Gardner Lecture Room) for a lively discussion of Another Brooklyn by Jacqueline Woodson.

Fiction. Three friends experience the all-too-real perils of growing up in Brooklyn in the 70s. For August and her girls, sharing confidences as they ambled through neighborhood streets, Brooklyn was a place where they believed that they were beautiful, talented, brilliant—a part of a future that belonged to them. But it was also a place of lost mothers, threatening men, and the possibility of tragedy.

Copies can be borrowed on interlibrary loan or purchased at Let’s Play Books, an independent Emmaus bookstore. Also available on Libby as an ebook or audiobook, and on Hoopla as an ebook or audiobook.
