Lehigh County’s gone green — and that means we’re making final preparations to welcome you back inside the library starting Monday, July 6th!

Our hours will be the same (see below), with 10-11 a.m. on Thursdays set aside for high-risk patrons only:

Monday – Thursday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
High-risk patrons: 10-11 a.m. Thursdays
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Closed Friday and Sunday

Below are the guidelines you’ll need to follow to enter and use the library. Curbside pickup will continue for those who feel more comfortable having their materials brought outside.

  • Masks are required to enter.
  • Please use hand sanitizer located just inside the entrance. Sanitizer is also located at the front desk and computers.
  • Be mindful of the items you touch. Please place items you are not checking out in designated areas.
  • Adhere to a social distance of 6 feet.
  • Limit your visit to no more than an hour.
  • Note that only a limited number of computers will be available due to social distancing guidelines.

Please be aware that more guidelines may be added as needed for everyone’s safety.

Speaking of safety, here are some steps we’re taking to make the library safer in the age of COVID-19:

  • Temperature checks daily for staff and volunteers
  • Watch for news about our re-opening!

    Masks for staff and volunteers

  • Plexiglass at the front desk
  • Toys, community puzzle, and other shared items have been removed
  • Chairs and furniture spaced for social distancing
  • 6-foot markers placed around front desk
  • Items in quarantine for 3 days before check-in
  • Book drops for returns
  • Sanitizer available for everyone

We expect to begin holding some events outdoors (weather permitting) and will continue to hold other events online until it’s safe to gather indoors. Please check our online calendar and Facebook page for updates.
