Teen volunteering is a great way to give back, gain experience, and get involved at the library. Whether you’re earning service hours for graduation or simply looking for a meaningful way to spend your time, volunteering offers the chance to share your talents while learning new skills.
You might help shelve materials, help staff prepare for programs, assist at events, sign visitors up for Summer Reading, or help keep our children’s area welcoming and organized. And if you love books, you may even discover some new favorites along the way.
If you’re 15–17 years old, you may apply to volunteer at any time during the year. Just go here for an application or pick one up at the desk. Once we review it, we’ll be in touch with next steps.
We also welcome summer teen volunteers, ages 12–17, to help during our busy Summer Reading season. Applications for summer volunteer positions are available each spring online and at the desk.
