The private-funding thermometer rose by $2,466 in June, bringing the total for the year to $55,551, or 36.1% percent of the goal.
General donations contributed $1,200, including $500 from the Emmaus Lioness Lions Club.
Sales in the Friends’ Book Nook added $485. The Book Nook, which is replenished weekly, offers gently used books, DVDs, CDs and puzzles for all ages at bargain prices, and is open all year round during library hours.
Finally, revenue from library services for printing and copying, missing and damaged items, and room rental added more than $750 in June.
With half a year of results in the books, the gap stands at $98,431.
